Jay has come full circle in his career. He first gained recognition in national publications like Flare and Canadian Living for his short, textured cuts twenty years ago. He then earned respect winning 6 Coast "Best of" Hairstylist awards before using his costume degree and make-up artistry skills to forge a career in the film world.
 

Jay opened his signature salon in 2000 as a small studio. Jay's friends collected and worked with him occupying two floors as they made their mark. Quickly outgrowing that space, they continued polishing their craft for another five years on Barrington Street.

 

In a bold move, Jay decided to create his new personalized boutique experience in a space that initially attracted him because of its long commercial history that harkens back to when Brunswick Street was the main shopping district. Jay's been dreaming of this for years and enjoys every moment.
